VITRALAB

Virtual Training Laboratory in Automated and Robotized manufacturing systems

Program ‘Leonardo da Vinci’, contract number: LLP/LDV/TOI/2009/SK/93100530, project budget: EUR 185,889

Implementation timeframe: 10/2009 – 09/2011

Coordinator: Technicka Univerzita Kosice – Tuke, Slovakia

Project purposes: Many SMEs heed to improve their output quality and performance using facilities offered by automation and robotics (A&R). SMEs need training on how to select, integrate and manage A&R to achieve good results within a short time. Personnel without relevant training can be a major problem.

The main goal of the project was to prepare training for teachers of technical schools and employees of SMEs on the use of automated and robotized industrial systems. The target group includes managers who need information on investing, implementing and operating A&R.

The partners plan for extending the scope of the project in the ‘Virtual Laboratory’. It will contain conventional content, multimedia (photographs, videos, etc.) and e-learning material.
