Robotic Repository – digital sharing of scientific resources in the field of robotics

 width=

The main objective of the project is to share theses, research and development works in the field of robotics and related areas (e.g. automatics, measurements, artificial intelligence, image recognition, mobile processing) in a form of a digital repository. The users of the repository will gain access to research papers, reports from research, journals, installation designs and 3D robotic components as well as the resources of the Łukasiewicz- PIAP Institute library. Other important items to be found in the repository include materials documenting the Institute’s operations since its establishment in 1965.

The objective will be attained through digitalisation of the Łukasiewicz – PIAP’s resources, providing descriptions to electronic resources with appropriate categories of metadata and developing an IT system (a web portal) to share information on achievements and actions in the area of theses, research and development works in the field of robotics via an interactive knowledge base.

This base will be a comprehensive register of works and data, both historical and contemporary, concerning the aforementioned areas. Its users will be able to browse, view and download the resources included in the repository.

Łukasiewicz – PIAP received a grant of nearly PLN 4.5 million to implement the ‘Robot Repository – digital sharing of scientific resources in the area of robotics’ project. The funds were granted as part of the Digital Poland Operational Programme, sub-action 2.3.1: ‘Digital sharing of public sector’s information from administrative and scientific resources.’
