‘R&D staff closer to the industry’

Program name: Operating Program ‘Human Capital’ co-financed by the European Social Fund, Operating Program ‘Human Capital’, Action 4.2: ‘Development of qualifications of human R&D resources and improvement of awareness of the role of science in economic growth’

Project implementation timeframe: 01/04/2012 – 31/12/2013

Project purposes: The goal of the project is to improve awareness of R&D staff members in relation to importance of engineering sciences for economic growth by dissemination of information about the use of R&D deliverables in the economy and about methods and forms of collaboration with the industry in the transfer of technologies.

Target group: 160 R&D staff members (including min. 10% women) employed in R&D institutes of the Polish Academy of Sciences and academies, mainly in the areas of automatics, robotics and related ones.

Project results:

  • Improvement of skills of R&D sector employees in management of scientific research and in commercialization of R&D work results.
  • Development of habits of continuous learning about the latest scientific achievements, means of commercialization of knowledge and transfer of technologies.
  • Change of attitudes to solutions starting from the design phase – encouragement to development of new solutions responding to actual requirements of the economy.
