Robotic platform including systems with limited processing capacity – Open Framework for Embedded Robot Applications (OFERA).
OFERA project (Open Framework for Embedded Robot Applications) aims to create a micro-ROS environment expanding the ROS (Robot Operating System) ecosystem capabilities with microcontrollers for easy integration of sensors and other devices with robotic systems.
The Industrial Institute for Automation and Measurements PIAP will design and perform benchmark tests to determine the parameters and support the system development. PIAP will also establish the requirements, develop usage scenarios for PIAP SCOUT® robots and autonomy module and support its partners in micro-ROS software development.
Project implementation timeframe: 01/01/2018–31/12/2020
Project budget: EUR 2,940,920.00 (including EUR 544,400.00 for PIAP)
