Meeting learning needs of A8 migrants using ICTs

Project purposes: The goal of the project was to investigate into educational needs and qualifications of emigrants from Lithuania and Poland settling in the UK and Ireland, and to develop tools and action strategies for centres of (vocational) education for adults in these countries in order to adapt their capabilities to identified requirements of emigrants.
Selected results of the project:

  • Developed and documented model of organization of education of adults, based on best practices related to methodology of educating adults, which will become a foundation for development of a strategy aimed to encourage, attract and provide emigrants with an effective training program;
  • Tools and program for teachers, improving effectiveness of conveying knowledge to emigrants from Poland and Lithuania;
  • Materials and software for learning emigrants from Poland and Lithuania, which will hep the emigrants acquire knowledge, operate computer hardware and learn English.
