‘Innovation Factory’ - popularization of scientific achievements among young engineers

Program name: Operating Program ‘Human Capital’ co-financed by the European Social Fund. Operating Program ‘Human Capital’, Action 4.2: ‘Development of qualifications of human R&D resources and improvement of awareness of the role of science in economic growth’, sub-action 4.2.2: ‘Improvement of skills of R&D personnel in management of scientific research, development work and commercialization of research work results’

Project implementation timeframe: 01.01.2009 –  31.12.2010

Project purposes: The goal of the project was to popularize achievements of Polish and international science among academic youth, mainly students and graduates of exact science and engineering studies from all types of academies, with emphasis on robotics, among others. Implementation of the project was supposed to facilitate students selection of specialties, help take first steps towards development of professional skills (also by participation in workshops organized as part of the project) and research careers (also by participation in conferences).

This overall goal was achieved by implementation of detailed goals including the following: Publications in conference materials and scientific magazines; Familiarization of beneficiaries with specific industrial implementations and collaboration between researchers and the industry. Also, the contractors for the project intended to facilitate the participants to establish contacts with other academies, research circles, R&D organizations and prospective employers.
