Student scientific circles

Łukasiewicz – PIAP supports the development of student scientific circles, both substantively and financially. PIAP has begun intensive collaboration with the Student Astronautical Circle operating at the Faculty of Power and Aeronautical Engineering of the Warsaw University of Technology in 2009. PIAP engineers provided consultation to the development of a Scarabeusz mobile robot, which represented Polish students for the first time in the University Rover Challenge (URC) rover competition in 2009. This competition took place in the desert in Utah. In subsequent years, Łukasiewicz – PIAP supported also students from Universities in Bialystok and Wroclaw, and the Łukasiewicz – PIAP logo was displayed on Magma, Magma2 robots and many others, which dominated the URC competition.

In our scientific and technical magazine Pomiary Automatyka Robotyka (Measurements Robotics Automation) published monthly (now quarterly) we have introduced in January 2010 a section dedicated to young, ambitious students with innovative ideas. There is also a Youth Forum section for students designers, where they may publish the results of activities performed by student scientific clubs: projects, research outcomes and related papers.
