Student internships

The internships organized in Łukasiewicz – PIAP gather students from various fields of study: Automatics and Robotics, Electronics, Mechanics and Mechanical Design, Mechatronics and Biomedical Engineering. While most interns are students of Warsaw technical universities, internships organized at the Institute attract also students from other cities.

Students are eager to undertake work in research institutions engaged in designing mobile robots. They assist in the implementation of projects having a high innovative potential, e.g. a prototype of social robot, designing different models of vehicles for studies on autonomy algorithms, connecting devices to the network (Internet of Things). Their work involves also application of virtual reality headset for controlling a mobile robot or testing vehicles.

Internships at Łukasiewicz – PIAP allow students to get to know the nature of work at the one of the largest industrial institutes in Poland. It is a good opportunity for them to learn that working in such environment requires the utmost expertise, in many cases implementation of unconventional solutions and participation of specialists from many scientific disciplines. More then 400 students took part in the internships over the period 2010-2016.
