‘Little Inventors’ - employees’ children care centre at the Industrial Institute for Automatics and Measurements (PIAP)

Program name: Operating Program ‘Human Capital’ co-financed by the European Social Fund. Operating Program ‘Human Capital’, Action 1.3: ‘Nation-wide programs for occupational integration and enablement’, sub-action 1.3.2: ‘Projects for promotion of equal opportunities for men and women and for balancing of the work and family lives’ 

Project implementation timeframe: 01/09/2010 –  31/08/2012

Project purposes: The main goal of the project was to enable the personnel of PIAP to find a balance between work and family lives through provision of professional care for children aged 1-5 near the workplace of their parents. 

Detailed goals of the project included:

  • Provision of institutional child care to the employees of PIAP with small children and employees wishing to return to work after a parental leave;
  • Provision of an opportunity to find a balance between work and private life to the end beneficiaries of the project;
  • Establishment of an environment fostering family life;
  • Assurance of equal career opportunities for men and women;
  • Adding appeal to PIAP as an employer;
  • Retaining and attracting young talented researchers.
