Łukasiewicz - PIAP among the signatories to the agreement for the digitization of industry
Łukasiewicz – PIAP has become a partner of a consortium which aims to accelerate the digital transformation of industry.
On July 12th in Warsaw, at the Forum for Digital Transformation of Industry, the representatives of universities and institutions supporting science and national economy, as well as presidents and directors of leading tech companies discussed the possibilities of the effective use of new technologies and the need to define the orientation for the development of digital transformation. The event was organized by the Polish Chamber of Commerce for High Technologies, under the patronage of the Ministry of Development, Labour and Technology, and Łukasiewicz was represented by Piotr Dardziński, PhD, president of the Łukasiewicz Research Network and Piotr Szynkarczyk, EngD, president of Łukasiewicz – PIAP.
The official signing of the agreement on comprehensive cooperation to accelerate the digital transformation of industry, including automation and robotization, and the implementation of artificial intelligence to control production processes took place at the Forum. The main objective of the newly established consortium, which includes Łukasiewicz – PIAP, is to disseminate knowledge about the benefits of digitization of industry, to improve the competences of managers and specialists in the field of digital transformation, and to certify their skills.
Apart from Łukasiewicz – PIAP, the consortium includes: Foundation of the Polish Development Fund, Institute of Fundamental Technological Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences, Silesian University of Technology, Wrocław University of Technology, Polish Chamber of Commerce for High Technology and Warsaw School of Economics.
At the same time, the General Assembly of Members of the Polish Chamber of Commerce for Advanced Technologies IZTECH took place, at which Piotr Szynkarczyk was elected a member of the Chamber Council. The Council consists of 15 members and is chaired by Prof. Jerzy Buzek.
