European Parliament: Prof. Szynkarczyk about research on defensive capabilities
The Subcommittee on Security and Defence met at the European Parliament in Brussels on November 22, 2017. The meeting raised questions related to safety. The Director of PIAP spoke about his relevant experience and about activities of PIAP in this area.
Professor Engineer Piotr Szynkarczyk, Sc.D., took part in the meeting on the future of EU’s research on defensive capabilities on invitation from the Subcommittee on Security and Defence (SEDE). Also Mr. Christian de Villemagne, the Director of the French and German Research Institute (ISL) in Saint-Louis and Mr Klaus Thoma, a Senior Consultant from Fraunhofer-Institute in Freiburg attended the meeting.
During his presentation, Prof. Szynkarczyk had SEDE take a closer look at the subject of unmanned ground vehicles (UGV) and the recent international projects implemented by the Institute related to defence.
