BPL 800 - intermediate platform, 800 kg class

Unmanned ground platform (800 kg class)

The main goal of the project is to develop the Intermediate Platform SR (800 kg class) meeting the guidelines of the Strategic Program and the excerpt from the BPL Feasibility Study. The project will build the following versions of SR:

  • Intermediate Reconnaisance Platform SRR;
  • Intermediate Engineering-Patrolling (Intervention) Platform SRIP;
  • Intermediate Logistic Platform SRL.

According to the assumptions of the Strategic Program and the excerpt from the BPL Feasibility Study, the platforms will be designed for interoperation with reconnaissance, logistic and engineering units of the military. They will be used for backing soldiers up during tactical operations in very difficult terrain. The project will develop two generations of the basic platform. Another problem in this respect consists of mobility of the platforms broadly defined as an ability to move in terrain, on weak ground, negotiating obstacles, reaching expected travelling speeds, make U-turns, bypassing and surmounting obstacles, or be transported by other vehicles. All these should be suited to anticipated tasks.
