PIAP’s participation in fairs as an exhibitor considered as an opportunity for improvement of competitiveness and product sales and for extension of the sales markets

Program name: RPOWM 2007-2013, Action 1.7. Business promotion

Beneficiary: Industrial Research Institute for Automation and Measurements PIAP

Total project value: PLN 393,847.45

Amount of subsidy: PLN 107,378.76

Project implementation timeframe: 01/09/2012 – 31/12/2013

Project purposes: The project provided for supporting participation of the Industrial Institute for Automatics and Measurements (PIAP), as an exhibitor, in fairs related to one of the areas of PIAP’s activity: mobile robotics for antiterrorist applications.

As part of the project, PIAP took part in five fairs and exhibitions between September 2012 and December 2013. These events presented mobile robots for antiterrorist and rescue applications manufactured by PIAP, including the following: IBIS, SCOUT, TRM, MRM, GRYF. PIAP markets these products in Poland and abroad. Foreign markets, including Spain, Switzerland or Saudi Arabia account for 51% of the sales. These selected fairs were the major ones dedicated to the defence, security and safety industry, supported by national governments. They were attended by international companies and representatives of central and local governments.

As a result of completion of the project, PIAP established collaboration with new clients for its products and signed contracts on new markets. Participation in the fairs as part of the project will enable PIAP to open new distribution channels, specifically for exports to Brazil, Indonesia and Thailand. The goal of the project was to increase the sales of PIAP’s products, build image of the Mazovian Province as a region friendly to entrepreneurs and investors, and promote the Mazovia brand.
