Model programs for education of school age children on save behaviours using social robots

Project purposes: The detailed goal is to study the effect of using social robots on effectiveness of teaching and to develop an innovative educational program for teaching safe behaviours.

  • Phase 1 (PLN 150,100.00): Review of existing safe behaviour teaching programs in terms of using a robot as an educational tool during classes. Development of a methodology for the study: Selection of study subjects and drafting of a syllabus for classes using the robot.
  • Phase 2 (PLN 143,600.00): Pilot experimental study with participation of elementary school students and the social robot. Publication.
  • Phase 3 (PLN 128,499.00): Analysis of results of the study and development of a new innovative educational program for teaching safe behaviours at elementary schools. Publication.

Project implemented as part of long-term program ‘Improvement of work safety and environment’, financed in 2014-2016, in the R&D work area, by the Ministry of Science and Academic Education and by the National R&D Centre.  Program coordinator: Central Institute for Labour Protection – National Research Institute
