Project purposes: Considering the growing interest in UAVs, for both military and civilian applications, it is important to provide such systems access to non-controlled airspace and upgrade air traffic control systems so that can manage UAVs as well.

The goal of the project was to:

  • Development of rules for managing UAV traffic in the Polish non-controlled airspace taking account of rules related to UAVs’ airworthiness (so-called ‘management of continuous airworthiness’);
  • Development of a prototype IT application for support of control of UAVs in the Polish non-controlled airspace.
