The EuroVIP Project

Partnership in implementation of the latest technologies in the European sea transport – Virtual Integrated Partnering (VIP) for SME service, technology and information providers in the European maritime sector (EuroVIP).

The goal of the EuroVIP project is to facilitate and coordinate collaboration at various levels between R&D organisations working on development of sea transport using the Virtual Integrated Platform (VIP).  VIP is a foundation of the EuroVIP project, the most developed IT platform among those known in the EU.
The potential of new satellite technologies can be utilized to the fullest only if experts representing various stakeholders work together. Isolated efforts of individual organizations would result in unnecessary duplication of work and costs. New IT tools developed as part of the EuroVIP project will make it possible to strengthen collaboration, intensify exchange of information at various levels (technical and operating) and open new development opportunities to the stakeholders.
